The festive season has brought cheer to both automakers and buyers, as GST 2.0 reforms coupled with Navratri demand have pushed car sales to record highs.

Automakers across India are witnessing unprecedented booking volumes, with industry leaders attributing the surge to revised GST benefits and aggressive festive discounts.

Honda Cars India has announced price cuts of up to ₹1.2 lakh on select models, passing on the full tax benefit to consumers. Other carmakers are expected to follow suit in the coming weeks, creating intense competition in the mid-size and premium hatchback segments.

Experts believe the GST 2.0 rollout has reduced the tax burden on vehicles, improving affordability while boosting overall demand. Combined with festive Navratri offers, this has made 2025 one of the strongest car sales seasons in recent years.

Industry analysts predict that if the current trend continues, the upcoming Diwali season could set an all-time record in India’s automobile sector.
