Maruti Suzuki has reduced the ex-showroom prices of several of its popular models — including Swift, Brezza, Alto, Dzire, and Baleno — by up to ₹1.29 lakh, following the recent GST reforms.

The price cuts, effective from September 22, 2025, are expected to make ownership more affordable, especially for entry-level and mid-segment buyers.
Some models like the Alto K10, S-Presso, and Wagon R will see steeper reductions, while premium models with smaller volumes might see modest changes. The benefit also depends on local dealer margins and variant chosen.
Maruti’s move aligns with the government’s broader approach of lowering tax burdens on vehicles, which could stimulate sales during the festive season. However, experts warn that price cuts might lead to thin margins for manufacturers.
