The Mahindra Bolero Neo, which was introduced in July 2021 as an evolved version of the TUV300, has remained largely unchanged since its launch. Now, fresh spy shots suggest that Mahindra is preparing to give the SUV a mid-cycle facelift. A camouflaged prototype of the updated Bolero Neo has been seen testing on Indian roads, revealing subtle design updates that hint at its upcoming launch.

Updated Exterior Highlights
Even under camouflage, one of the most noticeable changes is the redesigned front grille. Unlike the current honeycomb mesh pattern with vertical slats, the facelifted model features sleeker horizontal bars extending between the headlamp units. Similarly, the lower bumper intake also carries horizontal detailing, replacing the honeycomb finish seen on the present model.
The test mule retains the same halogen headlamps and fog lamps, along with the familiar black side body strip that continues the classic Bolero look. It rolls on the same 15-inch silver alloy wheels, although the final production model could receive updated designs. At the rear, changes appear minimal, with wraparound halogen tail lamps and a boot-mounted spare wheel carried forward.
Expected Interior & Features

While the cabin wasn’t revealed, Mahindra is likely to bring in mild updates to keep the SUV modern. Possible additions include a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and a rear center armrest for improved comfort.
Other expected features include a height-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, power windows, and a 6-speaker sound setup.
Safety Upgrades
Currently, the Bolero Neo comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with a camera, and ISOFIX mounts. The facelift could see Mahindra offering six airbags as standard, enhancing occupant safety.
Engine & Performance
The updated Bolero Neo is likely to retain the proven 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 100 PS and 260 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel-drive setup.
Price & Competition
The present Mahindra Bolero Neo is priced between ₹9.97 lakh and ₹12.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift may command a slight premium. While it doesn’t have a direct rival, it will continue to be an alternative to sub-4m SUVs such as the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
